Change starts from home. We installed a roadside board to indicate the resting place of Hazrat Shah Ameer (r) which holds a very sacred position for our family and for the people who to this date come and pay their respects. Now due to structural development and modernisation, for most people unaware of the area, it was hard to identify the road leading to the resting place of Hazrat Shah Ameer (r) and his descendants (may God be pleased with them). We took notice of this issue and devised a strategy to solve it.
With the help of several volunteers of Saraiki.org, especially:
- Waleed Abdul Rehman (Wali Bukhari)
- Imran (Caligraphy)
- Haji Chandia (Installation)
- Ameer Ali Salman
We managed to install the board and make it operational after 1 week of planning and building.
Religion and culture always have travelled parallel to each other in different geographical contexts.
It is important to re establish the position and knowledge of then-religious leaders who not only taught humanity but the norms of ethics.
With this small contribution we hope to establish a mindset that promises ancestral values With negation of cultural stigmas. Our next step is to plant diverse tree varieties. This effort is in addition to our documentary film making, research, Saraiki artisanal promotion and improvement of Infrastructure.
